This Tiny Power Bank Can Charge a MacBook! Iniu Cougar P63 Powerbank

Portable chargers are everywhere, but not all of them can actually keep up with power-hungry devices like the iPhone 15 Pro or this 15 inch MacBook Air. That’s exactly why I’ve been testing the INIU Cougar P63-E1 Power bank to see if it’s really worth your money.

Design & Build Quality

First things first, let’s talk about the design, its size, which is about the same as a PC mouse, makes it very portable. I’ve been testing it in the black colour, which makes it look sleek and compact, but it also comes in white, red, blue, orange and yellow.

Weighing just under 400g, it’s small size does have a bit of weight to it, but that should be fine for storing it in your carry bag, with the supplied USB-C to USB-C cable in this mess bag.

With a massive 25,000mAh capacity in this small factor (thanks to Iniu’s high-density tiny cell technology), that’s a lot of juice in this small form factor.

It’s got two USB-C ports and one USB-A, so you can charge multiple devices at once.

It doesn’t over complicate things with a display that has going to give you more information than you need, it’s got a clear digital display, so none of that ‘guess how much battery is left’ nonsense. All the display shows is the battery power remaining in the power bank and if you see the lightning icon, you know it’s charging your device. Super clean, super functional, super simple.

Power & Performance

Can it actually handle high-power devices?

All three USB ports output different power wattages and depending on your device capabilities, you will be able to choose the power output that will allow your device to benefit from faster charging.

The first USB-C slot can output up to PD 100W, the second USB-C port 45W and the USB-A port just 18W. If you use both the 2nd USB-C and USB-A port together, you will get a maximum output of 18W. If you use the main USB-C port and one of the other ports, you will get a max output of 65W out of the main USB-C and either 45W from the 2nd USB-C and 18W from the USB-A ports.

I tested it with the iPhone 15 Pro, and it gave me perfectly acceptable fast charging. It charged the iPhone from 0 to 50% in just over 24 minutes, 75% charge in 43 minutes and then 100% charge in 1 hour 53 minutes. That’s super solid!

But what really impressed me was how this, it actually charges my 15” M2 MacBook Air!

Most portable chargers can’t handle that and would die long before ever getting close to recharging the battery back to 100%. But with the P63, I was able to keep my MacBook running while simultaneously charging it.

It charged the MacBook Air from 0–50% in 35 minutes, to 75% in 60 minutes and to 100% in 2 hours 11 minutes, with a remaining battery life on the power bank of 1%, so just about charged the MacBook to full.

With the ability to charge one device or multi devices at the same time, if you’re a student, freelancer, or someone who’s constantly on the go, this is going to be a game-changer, allowing you to charge your laptop, phone, camera, drone or anything and you can even use it for pass through charging, by plugging this into the wall via that 100W port, which is the only port that accepts input power and charging up to two devices.

Who Is This For?

So, who should buy this? If you’re someone who travels a lot and needs a reliable power bank, or someone who works remotely and doesn’t always have instant access to outlets or someone who uses multiple devices daily and wants one charger to rule them all, then this is definitely worth considering.

But also, if you’re only looking for something to charge just your phone and nothing else, you might be fine with this too.

Should You Buy It?

While you can get lower cost power banks, the P63 packs that large 25,000mAh capacity, the small form factor and the three USB ports offering different outputs, giving you a power bank that is reliable, fast and multi-device charging, especially for high-power devices like the MacBook Air, making this power bank, for me, absolutely worth it.
