The Ultimate MacBook Air Desk Accessory: USB-C Hub

One of the main issues with the MacBook Air, is it’s lack of ports. A headphone jack on one side and two USB-C ports along with the power port on the other. For most people, who rely on multiple accessories, that just isn’t enough and sometimes for just need to be connected to your device at any one time.

So you might be in the same position as me, where you need something that’s was going to help move from a fixed desktop setup to a flexible laptop setup.

Everyone has that image in their mind about what they want their dream setup to be, what features it should have, what gadgets and accessories are going to be needed to get you to that point, from where it was at the start to where’s you actually want it to be.

With the M2 MacBook Air, I like the portability, where I’m not only confined to my desk like I am with the Mac Mini, but the option is there that I can just take this anywhere and just work anywhere. But still being able to come back to my desk, use the bigger monitor or in some cases, use it as an additional monitor.

The Byeasy 8 in 1 USB-C Multiport Docking Hub, a versatile and compact desktop hub, that turns a single USB-C port into 8 different ports, including HDMI, Ethernet, PD charging, 2x USB 3.0 ports, an audio output, and a SD/TF card reader.

This is going to be perfect for anyone who wants to connect multiple devices and accessories to their laptop, tablet, and even their phone.

It comes in this sleek gray colour, and it has a foldable design, that allows you to adjust the angle and position of the hub according to your preference.

On your desk, it’s all about finding that perfect angle and position for the hub, so when it’s in place, you’re able to work seamlessly with your device in that best position. For me, it’s all about getting it at the right angle, so whether it’s when the laptop is sitting on it acting as a dual monitor with my larger main display, or whether the laptop’s in clam shell mode and I’m only using the main display, no matter what position it’s in, that’s the best position for me to be at my most productive at that moment, and this is what this hub offers.

It’s very easy to use, you just plug in the USB-C cable, that comes in the box, into that one slot on the hub and the other into your device and you’re good to go. No drivers or software needed.

If you are concerned about scratches on your desk, it has two rubber pads on the base that’s going to prevent it from both sliding and scratching your desk.

At 680g, it is quite weighty, and it’s going to need to be, in order to accommodate my 15” MacBook Air.

One of the most useful features of this hub is the HDMI port, I only have a 1080P monitor so I can’t get the full benefits of this port but it does support up to 4K resolution at 30Hz, which means you can connect your laptop or tablet to a 4K monitor, TV, or projector and still enjoy high-quality video and audio.

If you prefer to work with a wired connection rather than a wireless one, you’re going to benefit from the Ethernet port, which supports up to 1000Mbps network speed. So if you’re used to a stable and fast internet connection, that’s is going to be much faster and more reliable than Wi-Fi, and is going to save you a lot of time and frustration, particularly if you download large files or upload videos, especially if you work from home or stream online, then this is going to help.

One of the main benefits of having something like this, is that one cable plugged into your laptop or tablet is going to facilitate a lot of uses, and charging is one of them, the USB-C PD port, supports up to 100W power delivery. This means you can charge your laptop or tablet while using the other ports of the hub, without worrying about running out of battery.

The 2x USB 3.0 ports are also very handy, as they support data transfer speeds up to 5Gbps. So, if you connect your mouse, keyboard, flash drive, hard drive, or any other USB device to your laptop or tablet, you can enjoy a fast and smooth performance.

The 3.5mm audio output port is also a nice addition, they’ll be some of you that have phones, laptops or tablets that don’t have a headphone ports, which can be frustrating as it going to limit you to only having and using wireless earphones or headphones.

The SD and TF card reader slots are also very convenient, allowing you to access files from your memory cards. So anyone who uses cameras, drones, or other devices that use SD or micro SD cards, you can pop it out of the device and into this, and if you’ve got both slots used together, they can read both cards simultaneously.

As you can see, this 8 in 1 USB-C Multiport Docking Hub is such a useful product that can enhance your desk setup and improve your productivity and remove the need to have so many other accessories because they are all condensed into this one hub.

It’s compatible with most USB-C devices, and it has a lot of ports and features that you can all be used for different purposes and all simultaneously. It’s very portable and easy to use, and it’s very stylish and durable.

I highly recommend this hub to anyone who is looking for a USB-C hub, who needs that versatility and flexibility in their setup, whether that’s in a fixed setup or a portable one, if you need multiple devices connected to your computer or tablet, this is going to work for you, and I think you won’t regret buying it, if you do.

I like having the one plug setup. I can go from bringing my laptop to my desk, plugging one USB-C cable, and instantly I’ve got access to power, my external drive, an additional monitor, extra USB accessories, a wired internet connection, access to SD cards and a stand for my laptop.

An All in one product connected via this one USB-C cable.
